Mr Green instruct UK Affiliates to stop Promoting them to UK Players

The online casino Mr Green which is now part of the William Hill Group, surprised their UK based affiliates this morning, after sending out an email communication instructing them to stop promoting their online casino to UK players.

Citing as of yet unknown compliance issues, Mr Green have also informed their UK affiliates that all marketing materials for their casino, have been switched out to their sportsbook product instead.

The email sent by their affiliate programme, Mr Affiliate, reads: “Due to recent changes in compliance, UK affiliates must pause all Mr Green UK Casino and Live Casino promotions for the UK immediately.”

“UK affiliates must remove all materials promoting these products in the UK such as banners, text links, pop ups, social posts and any other marketing materials for the UK. Mr Green UK Sports are still available to promote.”

“Therefore, we have replaced all Mr Green Casino and Live Casino banners with Sportsbook banners. We kindly ask that if you see any Casino or Live Casino banners still on your site, to let your Account Manager know. We are working hard to resolve this issue and will be sure to let you know once you are able to promote Mr Green UK Casino and Live Casino once again. “

“In the meantime, if you have any questions please contact your Account Manager who’ll be happy to assist.”

On the 20th January, Mr Green took by surprise many in the iGaming industry by closing down their online sportsbook operation in Germany with immediate effect.
