Betfred look to Spain
Leading independent British High Street Bookmaker Betfred, have confirmed plans to start a Spanish operation after their application for a license to operate an online sportsbook and an online casino in Spain was granted.
As a result Betfred will be opening up offices within the Spanish enclave of Ceuta which located on the North African coast, some 9 miles across the Straits of Gibraltar from the Spanish mainland and the port of Algeciras.
Commenting on the bookmaker’s decision to start operating within Spain, Betfred’s Mark Stebbings, who is the company’s Group Chief Operating Officer said: “This is an exciting opportunity for Betfred and the Spanish licence is part of our ongoing expansion strategy.”
