Playtech to Provide Safer Gambling Data for Ontario Lottery
Playtech are to provide the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation with its BetBuddy gambling data technology. BetBuddy which was acquired by Playtech back in November 2017, is a is a market leader in data analytics in the gaming sector. Focussing on responsible gambling, Bet Buddy aims to identify and manage “at risk” gambling behavioural patterns.
The OLG is responsible for managing and providing lottery and gambling services in the Province of Ontario in Canada and will employ the data provided by Bet Buddy, to enhance and improve their management of safer gaming.
Commenting about the agreement reached with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, Shimon Akad, the Chief Operating Officer of parent company Playtech, said: “OLG is respected globally for its outstanding responsible gambling programs.”
