Wolves v Manchester City Betting Odds

This evening Wolves host Premier League Champions Manchester City at Molineux, with Pep Guardiola desperate for all three points to reduce the gap between Man City and current leaders Liverpool, which currently stands at 14 points, with both Liverpool and Man City having played 18 games.

Over the past couple of games Manchester City have looked more like their old selves, recording dominate wins over both Arsenal and Leicester City and will be hopeful of a win away from home this evening. However, Guardiola is urging caution, stating: “They’re always one of the toughest opponents. Nuno  is doing an incredible job.”

“They are one of the toughest opponents away and at home as well,  because of the quality they have. They are incredibly well organised with pace up front, an incredibly difficult opponent.”

Whilst Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo, says of the forthcoming clash with City, stating: “We are the team that has less hours of recovery in this period. 45 hours between two games and 112 hours between the three games until New Year’s Day.”

“It’s going to be very tough, I think all of the managers are concerned and rightly so. I’m particularly concerned because I’ve been saying this; the schedule doesn’t make sense, it’s absurd. For all the teams. We have to survive. Let’s see what happens. “

Betting Odds

It is very hard to look past Manchester City in this fixture, this despite the fact Wolves who currently lie in 8th place in the table, having had several big name scalps on their record this season.

This is reflected in the odds, with bookmaker bet365 making Man City the odds on favourites to win at 4/11. If you fancy Wolves, you can back them at generous 13/2, with the draw being 17/4 at the time of writing.
