Strewth! Melbourne Man Fails to Check Winning Lottery Ticket for over One Month

A Melbourne man is celebrating winning over $1m AUSD after finally checking his winning Tatts Lotto lottery ticket one month after the winning draw.

The lucky winner from the suburbs of Melbourne won $1,053,905 in the July 18 draw however, he only found out he had hit the 7 figure jackpot when opening his wallet to buy his fortnightly lottery ticket, seeing his winning ticket in the process, which he gave to the newsagent to check, thus revealing his life changing win.

The lottery winner who has decided to retain his anonymity upon hearing of his win, said: “When I heard the noise go off, I thought ‘Wacko I must have won $20 or something. They told me that I had won something much, much better than that.”

“I’m going to get myself a little unit and that’s it. That will set me up. Hopefully, after that, I won’t have to work too hard, either.”
